the problem

The lack of basic needs is affecting students and their families all over the world!

Approximately 258 million children and youth are out of school worldwide, according to UNESCO data released in 2018.

Children do not attend school for many reasons, but they all stem from poverty. Children whose basic needs are not cared for are not socially, emotionally, or educationally capable of retaining educators' teaching nor are they academically able to excel.

MASLOW HIERARCHY
OF NEEDS

Maslow's theory states that humans are motivated to fulfill their needs in a hierarchical order. The order begins with the most basic needs before moving on to more advanced needs. With out the foundation of basic needs being met its impossible for someone to be motivated to climb up the hierarchy to accomplish greater things.
