S.W.A.P.’s Board of Trustees is comprised of nine accomplished leaders who provide strategic governance, fiscal oversight, and accountability in support of the organization’s mission. The Board plays a critical role in ensuring organizational sustainability, strong internal controls, and measurable community impact.

Representing expertise across corporate leadership, finance, education, social services, community development, and nonprofit management, the Board brings disciplined decision-making and cross-sector insight to guide the organization’s growth. This collective experience strengthens operational effectiveness, risk management, and responsible stewardship of resources.

Through data-informed strategy and an equity-centered approach, the Board of Trustees advances programs that produce measurable outcomes for underserved individuals and families. Their leadership helps scale effective initiatives, cultivate high-impact partnerships, and position S.W.A.P. as a trusted community and funding partner.

Mickia Neal

Mickia Neal is the Board President of Serving with A Purpose, a Health Insurance Executive with a master’s degree in business pursuing a doctorate in healthcare administration, and a wife, mother, and grandmother who is passionate about serving people and strengthening the communities S.W.A.P. supports.

Shon Turman

Shon Turman, Vice President of the Board of Trustees for Serving With A Purpose, is a New Orleans native now based in the Dallas area who brings over 10 years of experience in Consumer Goods Quality and a deeply personal commitment to advancing inclusion and closing resource gaps for children and families.

Charity Mason

Charity Mason serves as Board Secretary for Serving With A Purpose and is a Texas Christian University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in social work whose faith, personal resilience, and lived experiences have shaped a deep passion for serving children, advocating for systemic change, and nurturing young minds through education and community support.

Michelle SteeN

Michelle Steel serves as the Board Treasurer for Serving With A Purpose. Holding a bachelor's degree in Accounting and a MBA, she brings a wealth of knowledge to the organizations overall health in financial growth and sustainability.  She is passionate about serving others and helping provide resources for generations to come.

Melanie S. Hodge is a highly dedicated Therapist with over sixteen years of experience serving diverse populations, specializing in empowering children, adolescents, women, and families facing trauma, anxiety, and depression.

Corey Jefferson

Corey Jefferson, a Dallas native, is a devoted community leader, mentor, mental health counselor, and church-plant pastor with a lifelong commitment to transforming lives. He has over two decades of experience supporting individuals, families, and communities through education, and faith-based initiatives.

Krishanda Ivery is an Elementary School Principal in her 20th year of education, driven by a lifelong passion for service, equity, and excellence. Grounded in faith, she is also a devoted mother of two who believes in the power of positively impacting every child’s life.

Dr. Dede Toney

Dr. Dede Toney is a retired educator of over 40 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge in and out of the classroom and knows first hand the many challenges students face academically. She is dedicated to helping students thrive and supporting the organization in creating sustaining ways to meet the needs of students.

Dr. LT Pridgen

Dr. LaTonsha Pridgen (LT) is an author, advocate, and Director of Finance dedicated to children’s advocacy and abuse prevention, drawing from her own life experiences to drive change. She is the founder of Stomp Out the Silence and a committed community leader working to protect and empower children and families.
